NANTUCKET, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A door on a Cape Air plane bound for Boston Logan Airport opened mid-flight on Monday.

A spokesperson for the airline said flight #5001 had an issue with the main cabin door, which popped open shortly after the plane took off from Nantucket Memorial Airport.

A passenger on the flight took a video of the incident that showed the plane flying with the missing door and told the Nantucket Current that the pilot did an amazing job making everyone feel calm in the moment of chaos.

The plane returned to Nantucket and landed safely, and the passengers boarded another flight to Boston.

No injuries were reported.
