Fall River Suspect Captured With Help From State Police Air Wing

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — State Police released helicopter video Wednesday of the capture of a domestic assault suspect who was hiding in the woods.

State and Fall River Police were chasing the man on Monday, after he fled an assault scene and ran across Route 24.

The suspect, who Fall River's Herald News identified as 18-year-old Royleton Haston Jr., also had four outstanding warrants for his arrest, according to State Police.

Troopers in the Air Wing helicopter used infrared technology to spot the suspect hiding in the brush in a wooded area near Wilson Road, and pointed out his location to officers and K9 units on the ground.

He was arrested and charged with domestic assault and unarmed robbery by Fall River Police.
