MEDFORD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — With the ongoing conflict in the Middle East gas prices continue to climb, and locals are starting to feel it in their wallets.
AAA shows the average price for a gallon of regular gas here in Massachusetts at $3.56 a gallon, a little cheaper than the national average, but it's up 66 cents a gallon from what we were paying a month ago. Larry of Winthrop drives a pickup truck that requires premium-grade gas, so he's getting hit especially hard.
"With the full tank, it'll probably cost me almost $100. So I think I'm at a 25, 26 gallon tank. So when we get up over $4 a gallon, it gets expensive."

For regular gas, AAA predicted the average price in Massachusetts at $3.56 a gallon. That's up 66 cents a gallon from just a month ago, and some locals say they feel the strain on their wallets.
"It's a big hit, and it'll probably cause us to reel back on how often we camp this year. It takes away from the budget."
Alex from Medford says that while he isn't personally feeling the impact of the prices, he knows several people who are suffering.
"I fill up maybe once a week, but I own a restaurant, so you know, I know my drivers are kind of hurting right now."
