Police Arrest Teen For Firearm Possession At Snowden International School

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 15-year-old male was arrested on firearms related charges at Snowden International School in the Back Bay Thursday morning, police said.

Boston Police said officers responded to the school at around 11:40 a.m. for a report of a student possessing a firearm. School staff told police they had found a firearm inside the suspected student's backpack.

Detectives secured the weapon, a Taurus firearm with ten rounds in the magazine, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was charged with delinquent to wit unlawful possession of a firearm, delinquent to wit unlawful possession of ammunition, delinquent to wit unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, and unlawful possession of a firearm on grounds of a school.

He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court, officials said.
