Waffles' Week Six Picks Against The Spread

Super Bowl LI Proposition Bets At The Westgate Las Vegas Race & Sports SuperBook

We're now into the middle of October, this is the time to grab a lead in your year long pick leagues and not look back. Huge week for me in Week Five to rebound after a mediocre September. Let's keep it rolling and get into the Week Six slate.

HOME TEAM IN CAPS

NEW ENGLAND -17 over NY Giants

I’ve been telling you guys that underdogs have covered every Thursday Night game so far this season, that will be coming to an end this week when the Giants take the field in Foxboro without Saqoun Barkley, Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram. The G-Men will be lucky to score a touchdown this Patriots defense. The Pick: NEW ENGLAND 34 NY Giants 3

Carolina (E) over Tampa Bay (LONDON)

Tampa had their annual upset victory two weeks ago against the Rams. Cam Newton better be on watch because Kyle Allen may still be the starter even when the former 1st overall pick returns from his list of injuries. With this game being in London, and it also being a pick’em I’m going to take the team with the player I expect to take over the game, and that’s Carolina’s running back Christian McCaffrey. The Pick: Carolina 24 Tampa Bay 20

BALTIMORE -8.5 over Cincinnati

I think we’re figuring out exactly who the Baltimore Ravens are, they’ll beat the bad teams, and crush the real bad ones, Cincinnati falls in the latter category, expect Baltimore to run it down the Bengals throats. The Pick: BALTIMORE 27 Cincinnati 10

Seattle +2.5 over CLEVELAND

Baker Mayfield isn’t very good, there I said it. The Browns are more concerned with social media and off-field antics than actually playing solid team-football. I think Russell Wilson is going to have a big day against this defense. The 1pm Eastern Time start doesn’t scare me here for the Seahawks. The Pick: Seattle 28 CLEVELAND 27

Houston +8.5 over KANSAS CITY

Have you watched this Chiefs’ defense? They stink! The duo of DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller IV will wreak havoc on the Kansas City defense, so I’d expect big fantasy days from the pair and Quarterback Deshaun Watson. Unfortunately for the Texans, their defense isn’t much better, Patrick Mahomes will win this one late for KC. The Pick: KANSAS CITY 38 Houston 35

New Orleans +1.5 over JACKSONVILLE

I never like the Jaguars when they’re favored, they almost always figure out away to disappoint. New Orleans has played very well with Teddy Bridgewater under center, he’s 3-0 as a starter for the Saints! If he can win on the road in Seattle I have no doubt that he’ll take care of business in Jacksonville. The Pick: New Orleans 29 JACKSONVILLE 23

Philadelphia +3 over MINNESOTA

The Eagles are heating up, and the Vikings are probably the most inconsistent team in the NFL. I like Carson Wentz & co to go on the road in Minnesota and take care of business. I just hope for my fantasy team’s sake that Kirk Cousins can get something going with Stefon Diggs for the first time this season. But I'm not optimistic about it. The Pick: Philadelphia 33 MINNESOTA 28

MIAMI +6.5 over Washington

And the award for the worst game of the 2019 NFL Season goes to....the dumpster fire that’s going to take place on the field in Miami this Sunday. I don’t trust Washington to win by a touchdown. This is gonna be UGLY. The Pick: Washington 20 MIAMI 17

San Francisco +5 over LA RAMS

The Rams are in a downward spiral, the 49ers come into the LA Coliseum undefeated, and I think they’ll leave that way. Jimmy Garoppolo appears to have that magic he had when San Francisco first acquired him in 2017. This will be a fun one, and Jared Goff will probably blow the Rams’ shot at the end. The Pick: San Francisco 34 LA RAMS 31

Atlanta +2.5 over ARIZONA

I think it’s safe to say things have not gone according to plan for the Falcons so far in 2019. I know I said I wouldn’t take them on the road, but this seems like a layup here against the lowly Cardinals. The Pick: Atlanta 31 ARIZONA 21

Dallas -7 over NY JETS

Jets have no shot whether D’Arnold plays or not. The Pick: Dallas 35 NY JETS 17

Tennessee (E) over DENVER

Denver is awful, I just can’t bring myself to take them even though they beat the Chargers last week. Mariota makes me skeptical, especially on the road, but the Titans are the better overall team. The Pick: Tennessee 21 DENVER 16

LA CHARGERS -5.5 over Pittsburgh

The Chargers can’t be any worse than what they showed last week against the Broncos. Also, Mason Rudolph in primetimeThe Chargers can’t be any worse than what they showed last week against the Broncos. Also, Mason Rudolph in prime time against a team not named the Bengals, I’m staying away from Pittsburgh. The Pick: LA CHARGERS 34 Pittsburgh 24

GREEN BAY -5.5 over Detroit

Always take the Packers against the Lions, especially when it’s at Lambeau. The Pick: Green Bay 35 Detroit 21

Byes: Buffalo, Indianapolis, Chicago, Oakland
