What Really Happened on Jan. 6: Trump didn’t incite an ‘insurrection’

The Jan. 6 House select committee is a sham—a show trial whose goal is not to find out the truth about the events of that day, but to imprison former President Trump and discredit his America First movement.

The prime time televised public hearings Thursday night clearly revealed this. From a public relations standpoint, the event was a huge bust. Boring, dull and repetitive—the committee hearing unveiled no new information or evidence. Instead, using slick videos and deceptively edited texts and emails, committee members engaged in a shameless propaganda campaign.

Their core message was as simple as it was mendacious: That Trump masterminded a “multi-step, coordinated conspiracy” to engage in a violent, armed “insurrection” in order to overthrow the U.S. government and prevent the peaceful transfer of power to Joe Biden. The protest at and breach of the Capitol building on January 6, 2021, according to the committee, was an “attempted coup” that was both criminal and treasonous.

The problem, however, is the Jan. 6 committee has failed to provide any real evidence to back-up their explosive allegations. In fact, the evidentiary record proves the very opposite. Several days before Jan. 6, Trump requested that thousands of National Guard troops be placed at the Capitol to prevent possible violence. His argument was that, following the riots of summer 2020 in which BLM and Antifa burned cities to the ground, it was irresponsible not to have a strong security presence. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (along with then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell) rejected the request. Why? To this day, the Jan. 6 committee has refused to ask Pelosi this key question.

Hence, if Trump truly sought to “incite” violence on that day (as the Democrats and Never Trump Republicans claim), then why would he request the very thing that would’ve prevented it? The committee cannot—and will not—answer this.

Moreover, Trump’s behavior and words on Jan. 6 directly contradict the Democrats’ assertions. In his speech to protesters, he specifically told them to “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” He also told them “to cheer on” senators, such as Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley, who were planning to lay out the case of rampant voter fraud and election corruption on the Senate floor in a bid to convince Vice President Mike Pence not to certify the results from contested states like Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia; rather, Trump hoped that, once hearing the persuasive evidence from Cruz and Hawley (among others), Pence would kick the issue back to the legislatures of the contested states to confront and deal with the blatant electoral theft. The last thing Trump wanted—or needed—was for the Capitol to be breached by a small minority of protesters. It ended whatever chance he had to stop Biden’s fraudulent victory.

The November 2020 presidential election was stolen. There is a mountain of irrefutable, overwhelming evidence. There is no way Dementia Joe got 81 million votes—thereby making him the most popular presidential candidate in U.S. history. Just watch Dinesh D’Souza’s powerful documentary, “2000 Mules,” which exposes the massive fraud and blatant theft that took place in pivotal swing states, and the conclusion is inescapable: Biden’s victory was tainted and illegitimate. He has no right to occupy the White House. He is a traitor and usurper.

To prop up their puppet president, the rogue Jan. 6 committee is now targeting Biden’s opponents. In alliance with the corrupt Justice Department, the committee has issued indictments for contempt of Congress against former top Trump advisors Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon. The Biden regime is seeking to imprison political foes. It is devolving into authoritarianism, desperately hoping to cling to power.

Following his arrest, Navarro has warned that the committee’s real goal is to indict and jail Trump. The reason: To prevent him from running again in 2024. The aim of Democrats and establishment Republicans, such as Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger and Mitt Romney, is to decapitate and destroy the MAGA movement. And their strategy is to frame Trump as a seditionist and so-called “insurrectionist,” thereby criminalizing his actions and tens of millions of his supporters. This has nothing to do with truth or finding out what really happened on Jan. 6.

Instead, this is the last gasp of the dying and venal ruling class to protect their power and thwart Trump’s populist-nationalist revolution. It will fail. Biden’s regime is crumbling under the weight of its incompetence, illegitimacy and destructive evil. The emperor has no clothes.
