Storm Brings High Winds, Floods, and Thousands of Power Outages To Mass.

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) Wednesday’s storm brought significant high winds, flooding, and power outages across Massachusetts. 

Woods Hole had the highest record wind Wednesday at 66 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Hull came in just behind at winds of 65 mph. 

The storm also caused over 24,000 power outages throughout the state, according to information provided by WBZ NewsRadio by the Department of Public Utilities. 

The NWS declared a High Wind Warning for nearly all of the state on Wednesday, as well as Flood Watches in Western Massachusetts and the central and southeastern parts of the state. 

The Boston area was not under a Flood Watch, but video obtained by CBS News Boston shows major flooding Wednesday night in the Ted Williams Tunnel. Up to three inches of rain fell in some parts of Boston Wednesday, according to NWS.
