BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A nor'easter headed our way later this week is likely to bring damaging winds, high surf and coastal flooding to parts of the region.
The National Weather Service says periods of heavy rain and strong winds exceeding 40 miles an hour could begin as early as Friday afternoon and last into Sunday. Waves offshore could reach up to 20 feet. Southeastern Massachusetts including Cape Cod may see the highest impact from the early season nor'easter, which could include downed trees and power outages.
