BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — With a travel ban in place for areas around Massachusetts and most roads in rough conditions, most people are looking for an alternative route of travel.

The MBTA was getting some good reviews from riders during Monday’s intense blizzard. Despite some delays, people like Steven were satisfied with their commute.

“So the train, it wasn’t that bad. It was actually easier after you were in the station,” said Steven. “The trains obviously are delayed which is a common thing, but it's not that bad to be honest.”

The buses are a different story. With roads slick and white-out conditions, things were moving much slower. One rider, Dan, decided he was going to do his traveling through the T.

“Honestly it hasn’t been that bad. A little bit longer wait for the trains but otherwise they’re coming right through and getting me where I need to go,” said Dan.
