Judge Brett Kavanaugh says he is “humbled” and “deeply honored” to have been nominated by President Donald Trump to the Supreme Court.
Kavanaugh isn’t a good pick for the Democrats. A rally began shortly after President Trump’s Supreme Court pick announcement. The rally included chants of “Hell no on Kavanaugh.”
Many senators addressed the crowd, including Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Cory Booker of New Jersey, Jeff Merkley of Oregon and Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
Trump wants to put Brett Kavanaugh on the SCOTUS –but he can’t do it without a Senate majority. It’s time to fight: https://t.co/g0uNy6x2ow— Elizabeth Warren (@SenWarren) July 10, 2018
Nothing is more important now than doing everything in our power to stop the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. pic.twitter.com/TlvsrKWDTC— Bernie Sanders (@SenSanders) July 10, 2018
President Trump just announced Brett Kavanaugh as his nominee to the Supreme Court. One thing’s already clear from his record: He can’t be trusted to safeguard rights for women, workers or to end the flow of corporate money to campaigns.— Kirsten Gillibrand (@SenGillibrand) July 10, 2018
