On Monday, Somerville Mayor Joe Curtatone issued a challenge to State Rep. Geoff Diehl. If Diehl wins, tough guy Curtatone will film himself drinking a “Sammy” (Sam Adams beer) congratulating him on the win, but if Warren wins, Diehl must post a video of himself drinking a Somerville Brewing Company beer and praise sanctuary cities.
Boston radio talk show host Jeff Kuhner then issued a challenge to Curtatone. The challenge was to call into the show for an interview to discuss why he is challenging Diehl.
In the end, Curtatone didn't take Kuhner up on the bet. However, Diehl accepted the challenge.
