Oakland University is giving thousands of hockey pucks to faculty and students. The school's police chief says if a gunman enters a classroom everyone should be ready to throw something that could distract, stop or hurt the shooter, even a hockey puck.

The university's faculty union believes the pucks can help save lives. It has organized training sessions and bought 2,500 pucks for students and faculty.

Do you think a hockey puck could stop an active shooter?
