Dorchester Vietnam Veterans Memorial Vandalized

Massachusetts State Police are investigating the vandalism of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Flowers and shrubs were torn out of the ground and American flags were ripped down and thrown into a wooded-area and into a swamp. Also, hate-related graffiti – including a swastika – were written on the monuments.

The memorial has the names of 80 men who were killed in the Vietnam War.

Anyone with information about the vandalism should call UMass Boston police at 617-287-6084 or state police at 617-740-7710.
