U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling said on The Kuhner Report on Tuesday, he believes the White House should withhold federal funding from sanctuary cities.
He said, “I think second circuit decisions are really important.” He added, “If you’re going to hand out federal dollars and every state gets a huge amount of federal dollars; you should be able to expect that the states are going to follow and help out with federal law.”
U.S. Attorney Lelling highlighted the federal money that would be withheld would affect police departments, school programs and drug addiction programs. He also stressed how important the federal funding is to the state.
