I couldn't let the month of December go by without choosing a winter-y/Christmas themed beer for my beer review. With that being said I went right for Sam Adams "White Christmas" with it's red Christmas gift wrapped with a white bow beer label.It's a white ale that is a 5.8% ABV. It has a limited time availability between November-January.
Sam Adams offers a couple nice winter varieties of beer for the beginning of the winter season. They have Cold Snap, Old Fezziwig Ale, Winter Lager, and then White Christmas. I’ll be honest, I don’t know many “Christmas-y” beers (I’m still discovering) and so I’m glad Sam Adams covers the bases here. I do like their Cold Snap but I’ll tell ya, their White Christmas is just magical, it really gives you that feeling of Christmas morning magic and gets you in a festive mood! I’ve had this beer last year but now I’m reviewing it & I give it a 9.3 out of 10. It’s light, it’s a white ale with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange peel, really tapping into that festive, warm flavor. I brought a 6 pack with me up to NH for a weekend away with friends at a lodge & they didn’t last long! That tells you something! Take it from me, this beer is a crowd pleaser so next Christmas go right for the good stuff & bring a pack of this Sam Adams White Christmas to your holiday party or gathering!
